New monitor came today. Big hole in the box leads to the screen looking like it was stabbed by a screwdriver. Sitting in a queue for support that in that past hour has gone from number 70 to number 50. Also any branch of their phone tree I have tried says disconnected. Yippee.

New toys that arrive broke are the worst!

Nice. Last time I saw a screen like that was about 12 years ago when my laptop froze while I was getting music off limewire, and I punched it.

Oh that brought back some memories of trying to get stuff off limewire and having it end at roughly 95%

Huh. Was it just dropped off in front of your house without requiring signature? If a parcel arrives with obvious damage you can refuse delivery. In the case of UPS, if they delivered without taking a signature, you have up to five days to refuse delivery, and they’ll bring it back to the sender.

I assume one of my housemates signed for it. I was at work when it was dropped off. They dropped something off yesterday at 5:45pm
and today at 9:30am so I can never figure out when they are going to come by

You can still request return to sender within the five-day window
if a housemate signed for it.

Disappointing.
Did you order direct from Lenovo? If not, I’d recommend dealing with the seller first, they are usually much easier to deal with.
The 32" monitor I got last month came with a big hole in the box, but fortunately that just seemed to be that some idiot at or before the Amazon warehouse couldn’t figure out that carry handles were on the long sides rather than the short and so just pushed through the cardboard on one of the short sides. Didn’t due any damage to the screen, though a big hole in the box is not really what you want to see on a new $500 screen.

I went straight through Lenovo, they were having a sale so I got a pretty good deal on a 27".
Number 8 in the queue now!

The worst! Also, you’re going to get my complaining because I am finally on a web chat to return this for a replacement after 3.5 h
ours of waiting! after half an hour of talking (they take 5 minutes to reply and dropped the connection once)
they are just now realizing I want a working product and not a refund… Some one shoot me

Indeed it was, literally looks like the box was stabbed/punched and it lines up with the spiderweb on the screen. No visible damage to the screen though. Ignore my dirty housework
